Caitlyn McDonough is leading the development of this year’s Gartner HR Symposium opening keynote, exploring HR’s role in shaping the future of work with AI.
In addition to her keynote work, Ms. McDonough advises a global network of HR leaders on strategic workforce planning. Her research focuses on helping organizations prepare for the future of work, including identifying the work most critical to business strategy, understanding how AI will reshape work, forecasting future talent needs, and determining the investments required to build a strategy-aligned workforce.
Previously, Ms. McDonough advised HR leaders on recruiting strategy and operating models, including recruiting organization design, metrics, team capabilities, and end-to-end talent acquisition processes. She also conducted research and advisory work on leadership and succession planning, helping organizations strengthen leadership pipelines and prepare for future leadership needs.
Earlier in her career, Ms. McDonough served as Gartner's lead researcher in the Total Rewards space. She provided insights and guidance to HR leaders on performance management, incentive design, employee recognition, and rewards communications.
