Ninety-four percent of surveyed executive leaders engaged in sustainable IT reported that further business growth is dependent on increased technology use. If sustainable IT is not prioritized, GHG emissions from IT will increase.
Fifty-four percent of these same executive leaders reported that they proactively initiated sustainable IT activities before being asked. Sustainable IT benefits, especially for GHG emissions reduction, can be maximized by taking a structured approach to governance and resourcing.
