国内企業による生成AI活用の模索が続いている。その際にSIやコンサルティング・ベンダーといったアウトソーサーとの協業は少なくないが、彼らが現時点でノウハウを十分に蓄えているとは限らない。本リサーチノートでは生成AI活用に関するベンダー提案の適否を見極めるために、SPVMリーダーが押さえるべき留意点を示す。
国内企業による生成AI活用の模索が続いている。生成AIの活用がアウトソーサーへの依存度を下げることに寄与する場合がある一方で、新たな依存が発生する場合もある。
アウトソーサーは生成AIを「商機」と捉えているが、彼らの提案成熟度の向上は道半ばである。
生成AIも一般的なAIが持つリスクを免れ得ない。自社向けの生成AIを効率的に構築することも容易ではなく、ベンダーの力量によりそのスピードや成果に大きな差が出る可能性もある。
自社向けの生成AIの構築では取り組みが長引き、アウトソーサーへの支払いが大きくなるリスクがある。生成AI自体の利用料金の負担も大きく、ランニング・コストが高額になる場合もある。
取り組み当初の目標設定や基本方針の設定から、アウトソーサーへ主導権を渡すことは避ける。自社のみで扱いやすい、「カスタマイズ」なしで利用できる生成AIから取り組みを始める。
アウトソーサーの提案の適否に関する判断をビジネス部門のみで下すことはせず、ソーシング／調達／ベンダー管理 (SPVM) のリーダーも含めて検証するよう徹底する。
アウトソーサーの提案を評価する際は、生成AIが伴うリスクへの認識の高さも問う。生成AI構築のための手法、フレームワーク、テクノロジの活用力も最重要な評価ポイントとする。
生成AI活用は定常コストを伴う継続的な取り組みであるとの前提で、得やすい効果を先取りする段階的な活用計画を立てる。その方針に賛同するアウトソーサーとパートナリングする。
