On April 24, 2024, the Federal Register published the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) final rule regarding changes to Title II of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), requiring state and local governments to conform to specific web accessibility standards. The rule will impact design, operations and maintenance of existing web content, mobile content, digital documents, new social media posts and digital services already in production or in development, as well as future projects.
