Remote Access

Remote access is a process that connects remote users to enterprise networks and applications when the users are out of the office. Multiple technologies can supply remote access, including:

  • Virtual private networks (VPNs)
  • Zero trust network access (ZNTA)
  • Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
  • Desktop as a service (DaaS)
  • Remote browser isolation (RBI)

Each technology provides a set of use cases (some of which overlap), and most enterprises will implement more than one technology.
