Gartner Announces Keynote Speakers for Gartner ReimagineHR in Sydney, August 6-7

Gartner, Inc. has announced the keynote speakers for the premier annual conference for human resources (HR) leaders in Asia Pacific, Gartner ReimagineHR Conference 2019.

Held over two days at the Hilton Sydney, this year’s conference features several luminary keynote speakers focused on leadership, stakeholder management and new thinking, to inspire delegates to lead innovation and transformation across their organizations. More than 400 senior HR executives are expected to attend this year.

This year’s keynote speakers are:

·         The Hon. Julie Bishop, Former Foreign Minister of Australia. Ms. Bishop served as Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2013 until her resignation in 2018. She was the first female to hold the role as well as the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party, serving for 11 years. In a political career spanning 20 years, she also served as Minister for Education, Science and Training, Women’s Issues and Ageing. Ms. Bishop will discuss the unique challenges and opportunities that Australia faces in the future of work and the vital role that workforce participation and diverse voices will play. She will share lessons learned as a leader and best approaches for stakeholder management.

·         Tracey Spicer AM, Author, Journalist and Broadcaster. Tracey Spicer AM is a multiple Walkley Award winning author, journalist and broadcaster. She has anchored national programs for ABC TV and radio, Network Ten and Sky News. The national co-founder of Women in Media and NOW Australia, Ms. Spicer was named the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year, and in 2018 chosen as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, winning the Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit category. For her 30 years of media and charity work, Ms. Spicer has been awarded the Order of Australia.

·         Rabia Siddique, Humanitarian Lawyer, Hostage Survivor and Author. Ms. Siddique is an Australian criminal and human rights lawyer, retired British Army officer and best-selling author. Having survived a hostage crisis in Iraq, she garnered global attention for making the British military accountable for silencing her about her ordeal and her role in releasing captured special forces soldiers. Her brave action in suing the British Government for sexism and racism became a catalyst for policy change to ensure a fairer workplace for women and cultural minorities in the British military. Ms. Siddique’s first book, Equal Justice, is now the focus for a feature film. She is also mother to triplet boys.

·         Brian Kropp, Group Vice President, Gartner. Mr. Kropp oversees the research, tools, services and support that Gartner provides to chief HR officers and their leadership teams. In his keynote, he will address the future of work and how HR can reimagine work to drive performance. Artificial intelligence and automation are only part of the future-of-work story. Along with these conspicuous shifts come a number of underlying trends — like rising transparency or new work habits — with the potential to fundamentally change how work gets done. Mr. Kropp will explore in detail this broader set of hidden critical issues and the opportunities presented by these shifts.

The full agenda is online here.

20+ Gartner experts will provide independent research and advice in presentations and in roundtables and workshops with delegates. A wealth of peer engagement opportunities will allow delegates to make lasting connections, share best practices and network with peers.
