The number of women in supply chain is on the rise. The 2021 Women in Supply Chain Survey from Gartner and AWESOME finds improved representation at nearly all levels, bucking pandemic-era odds.

Also, a record number of supply chain organizations are advancing on diversity, equity and inclusion goals targeting women.

But there is still lots of hard work to be done. The same survey finds that attrition among midcareer women in supply chain is increasing.

    About the 2021 Gartner-AWESOME Women in Supply Chain Survey

    For the 2021 Gartner-AWESOME Women in Supply Chain Survey, we recruited 223 supply chain professionals, primarily in North America. Other key partners in the effort to recruit survey participants: Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and boom! The survey ran February 23, 2021 through March 31, 2021. Survey questions focused on targets and initiatives to attract, retain and advance women in supply chain.
