Ted Chamberlin is a Vice President, Analyst at Gartner, where he is part of the CIO/Industries team. His research focuses on the the emergence of technologies that support the media and entertainment industries including datacenter, cloud, software services and networking. Additional focus areas include everything Edge; CDN (content delivery networks), Telco cloud/MEC, streaming and video processing. Extensive experience with public cloud services, datacenter services, managed hosting and colocation.
Mr. Chamberlin has experience working with all size global organizations from larger multinationals to early stage startups. Particular focus on emerging media/entertainment markets including China, South Korea, South East Asia, South Africa and the Middle East.
Prior to joining Gartner, in 1998 and then again in 2017, Mr. Chamberlin held product marketing, business development and consulting roles in the technology industry. He founded two small consultancies and a virtual reality production company. Previous employers include Citrix Systems and Coresite. Mr. Chamberlin also held networking sales positions at Metro Business Systems, where he worked with end users on acquiring network equipment and implementing network designs. Previous to that, he worked in the technology recruiting division of Sony Music Entertainment in New York for four years.
