PeopleSoft has begun the integration of its help desk software with its CRM solutions. However, Vantive HelpDesk is not part of that integration. The product has not been discontinued; rather, PeopleSoft is still supporting and selling Vantive HelpDesk for the foreseeable future. PeopleSoft simply chose not to use the Vantive platform for its foray into service desk/CRM integration. As it stands, Vantive HelpDesk remains a competent internal IT help desk package with some strong tracking and self-help features. It has a good reputation for scalability and ease of use.
