E-business was about taking existing business processes and bringing them online. Zappos successfully took shoe shopping to the Web and is an e-business. D-business creates new business revenue and value from the unprecedented combinations of people, business and things. If Nike+ sensed how many miles you ran and shipped specific shoes to your door, that would be d-business.
